Wind It Up Real Good

Problem Question: Can I build a Woosher that can at least go 3 metres across the room made out of 3 popsicle sticks, 2 paper clips, 1 straw, 1 propeller, a piece of wire that can reach at least 3 metres and reach across the room , 3 office rubber bands, and 50 cm of tape in 40 minutes? Hypothesis: If my Woosher has a sturdy body, good structure, and is well balanced, then at least 3 metres should be possible, because my Woosher will be connected to the wire and have all the elements of a good woosher. Equipment: 2 paper clips 3 popsicle sticks 50cm duct tape 1 straw 3 metres of wire that can reach across the room 1 propeller 3 office rubber bands Tips: Try use minimal resources. make sure you twist the rubber bands as far as they can. make sure the other parts of the woosher are not disturbing the propellers sequence of movement.(so it has space to move)

Researching The Problem The woosher should be able to move Twist the rubber bands as much as possible Keep your woosher intact. make sure the propeller can spin.

Procedure 1. Connect one of the popsicle sticks to the propellor.

2. Tape another popsicle stick to your first one in the back area of the stick, so it is vertically up. If the stick wont stay up than you can try paperclip it on.

3. Next, Spin the propellor once so you can make sure it can move without touching any popsicle sticks. 4. Then, Tape The straw too the popsicle that is vertically standing, so the straw should be horizontal.

5. There is a hook sort of thing connected to the propellor, what I want you to do is hook all three office rubber bands to the hook on the propellor.

6. Take the other side of the rubber bands a connect them around the vertical standing popsicle stick so the rubber bands are horizontal.

7. Last but not least, feed the wire through the straw and attach the wire from one end of the room to another. Finally twist the rubber bands to left as much as you can, Then... Letre Rip!!!

Conclusion
Our Woosher succeeded our goal of 3 metres across the room, in-fact the woosher exceeded our goals. Our hypothesis was confirmed and we confirmed our objective distance of 3 metres.

Evaluation
Our hypothesis was confirmed except it was not very well balanced. one of our difficulties was getting was getting the Woosher to move.
