MARFO

CHILDREN CARE FOUNDATION (MCCF) JUNE, 2012 UPDATE 1. BIRTHDAYS

Daniel Marfo celebrated his 7th birthday on the 8th of this month. Daniel was very excited when he returned back from school to meet a surprise birthday party. The whole family blessed and prayed for him. Daniel thanked the whole family and promised them that he will study hard and pass his upcoming end of term school examinations.

2. LOCAL CHURCH VISIT

Assemblies of God Church, Ashiaman Branch visited the home to share the word of God with the children. The children were very excited as they sang and danced to praise the Lord. In his message the leader of the delegation said, Children are gifts from God and therefore He loves and cares for them. One of the churches core responsibilities is to care for the orphaned children and those who need help spiritually and physically. The delegation also presented some items to MCCF. We are very grateful.

3. WEDDING!
Auntie Kim, one of our major supporters from the UK, got married this month to her Ghanaian fianc. Congratulations from all of us! She has been of great support to the children and they all love her. Friends and family from both London and Ghana graced her wedding.

4. DONATIONS
Mrs. Tawiah Addo Anshong, a local legal practitioner donated a computer set to the home. The computer came just in time to assist the children in their studies. Unfortunately in the past anytime the children studied Information/Computer Technology at school, they found it difficult to practice at home since we only had one computer. Now there is an extra computer they can practice on. This will go a long way to helping them pickup on their information/computer technology studies.

5. FATHERS DAY Rev. Father Ellis of the Anglican Church invited the children to a film show at Asutuare Stone lodge in the Eastern Region of Ghana to celebrate Fathers day. They listened to a sermon on the importance and role of fathers. They spent the afternoon at a game reserve learning about animals. Children eating at the Lodge Children at the game reserve

6. VISIT FROM UNCLE ANDY

Uncle Andy visited the children at school while he was on a working visit to Ghana. He is a colleague of Auntie Kim. He donated lots of items and started building a relationship with the children and MCCF. We are happy to have another supporter!
