Position Title:
Position Summary:
Lighting, Sound & Video Director, utilizing the resources available, is responsible for the on-time planning and installation of the lighting, sound, video, and projected designs as presented by the designer.
Principle Responsibilities:
With the Artistic Director and Production Manager work as a creative problem solver in the planning and execution of all lighting, sound and video elements for each production or project. Responsible for determining approaches, procedures, schedules and techniques to create lighting, sound and video effects for each production. Budgeting and estimating cost of labor and materials for each production. Work with other production department heads and creative teams on the solution of multi-department projects for each production. Responsible for the scheduling of work for associate and 6 regularly scheduled I.A.T.S.E staff. Responsible for the hiring and scheduling of work of all over-hire personnel. Responsible for overseeing the recording of rehearsals and special projects, video archiving of shows, and managing CTCs video archives. Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and safe use of all lighting, sound and video equipment. Establish and maintain safety programs and training for Lighting & Sound Department personnel. Oversee maintenance of the CTC audio network, including playback, recording and backup computers, central RAID drive, and space allocation for sound effects libraries and show archives. Assist PR/Marketing in the promotion of CTC by assistance with video spots, radio spots, and promotional CDs or DVDs.
