Interview questions on students lifestyle

1. First time you arrived at Indonesia, what had attract you the most? Indonesia in shopping paradise. It was really driving crazy when I first came here but now I can control it a bit. 2. Can you tell us your first day experience in Indonesia? As we arrived at the airport, some one picked us to the university and drove us straight to our new hostel. Before this, we had a month practical in Indonesia but we stayed in a house. It was really a new experience to stay in the hostel fully loaded with Indonesian girls. 3. How about your first day in lecture? Here in Indonesia, my class did not mixed with local pharmacy student s as they learnt in Indonesian language and us, in English. So that, it were just 25 of students in my class. Most of our lecturers are locals. 4. How is food in Indonesia? Does it suit your taste bud? Well, there are not so many differences between Malaysia and Indonesian food. The most popular food here is bakso. You must try it if you come here. It is so much different between Malaysian bakso and Indonesian bakso. Here, it tastes more original. I eat all kind of food. So, I do not face any difficulties in eating Indonesian food. We can easily find halal food here but from my observation, Indonesian food sometimes become too sweet or else too hot. 5. Can you speak Indonesian well now? During my foundation year, we are learnt Indonesian language so that we could adapt with the lecturers and the environment but then when we were here, we noticed that there were so many Indonesian dialects. Now I am in Bandung and people, here, most of them , are using Sunda dialect which is not so different from Bahasa Melayu but

after a year of learning , it is still not enough. I have to improve my Indonesian language understanding. 6. How about the living cost in Indonesia? Indonesia uses rupiah and as you already knew rupiah is much lower than ringgit Malaysia but in the mean time it is increasing. Now 1 ringgit Malaysia is equal to rp2500. It is quite okay than before. I could just only buy candies using rp2500. The economies in Indonesia are growing better day by day. 7. How the people there treat you? Have you ever experienced any discrimination? During our earlier time in Indonesia, we had to face a little difficulty in order to adapt with local students as they hardly accept foreign students but it become better as time goes. Local people usually do street demonstration and it really causes total chaos here. So, we must take care of ourselves when walking by the street and always walk in a group. They usually would not disturb Malaysian people as we do not disturb their privacy. 8. What is the time different between Malaysia and Indonesia? As I concern, Indonesia is one hour earlier than Malaysia. 9. How about the weather there? Bandung is cold place as here it is popular as tourism destination. Now, it is about 23 Celsius. 10. Do you enjoy you life in Indonesia? Maybe at first I felt homesick and had difficulty to adapt with new environment but time healed everything. Now, I really enjoy my moment here and we are about to go on trip to explore Indonesia soon. I hope I can finish my study here with flying colors and be a good pharmacist. Pray for me.
