OFFICIAL GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS: 1. 2. 3. 4. Date of the competition - March 4, 2014 Venue of the Competition Arriesgado College Auditorium, Tagum City Category - Open competition. Requirements for Participation a. Only four (4) singers, either male or female or mixed. b. 16 years old and above. c. At least two (2) instrumentalists for accompaniment. d. Competing groups shall render two songs of any genre and language e. All groups are required to submit their entry form with the name of the official accompanist. 5. Time Limit of Presentation a. Maximum performance time is ten (10) minutes including entrance and exit. b. A deduction of two (2) points in excess of every minute or fraction of a minute. 6. Criteria for Judging Tonal Quality (flexibility of voice, intonation & range) 40% Harmony (blending & balance, phrasing) 30% Mastery (dynamics, technique, interpretation) 20% Deportment (general appearance, discipline & uniform) 10% Total 100% 7. Prizes at Stake To Be Announced 8. A set of judges shall be assigned by the Execom. These Official Judges are well known for their achievement and stature in the field of music and performing arts preferably coming from outside of Davao Region or have gained a National Stature. Their decision shall base on the results of the competition and shall be final and irrevocable. 9. Deadline for the submission of entries shall be on January 31, 2014.
