As I mentioned last Sunday morning, our new year started off with a bang.

New Years Eve was spent in the ER with my grandson and then my oldest daughter. The stomach flu took up residence from Sunday evening until Friday evening and almost the whole house, including company, was affected. I saw a post that said What you do on the first day of the year will be what you do the rest of the year. I sure hope not! I am happy to report that all are well now. I am also happy to report that because we followed the Dr.s directions and did what we were supposed to do, we mended quickly. I am also happy to report that when we find ourselves in spiritual sickness, if we follow the Great Physicians directions, we will mend even quicker. Spiritual sickness is sin and the Bible says if we confess our sin He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us. It is certainly good news to know we have great doctors, nurses and hospital in our community. But it is even greater news that we have a Great Physician that heals and cleanses when we come to HIM. Come to Jesus for His healing power. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Paul *************************************************

MISSIONS GIVING REPORT

We are inching closer to our modest goal of $15,000 for our annual Lottie Moon offering for the work of foreign missions. As you remember, 100% of these gifts go overseas to help our missionaries reach the lost for Christ. To date, we have received $13, 038.60, which is 87 % of our goal. That is only $ 3.11 for every international missionary who is serving! Wont you consider a generous gift to help us reach our goal, and more importantly reach the lost?

Has it really been an entire year? I have learned so much over this last year and I hope to put it all into practice during 2014. God has truly blessed me with a great church family. Bring on 2014!

FELLOWSHIP CLUB
In spite of the bitter cold last Monday, many folks braved the weather to come to Fellowship Club. Harold Fleshman and Ed White brought their favorite 33 1/3 LP records to share . We smiled and laughed and clapped for joy as we heard the old favorites sung by Perry Como, Andy Williams, Bill Gaither, and others. Join us next month on Monday, February 3, as we celebrate love. Lynn Roberts will share a devotional and he and his band will entertain us. Bring a friend! ASSOCIATIONAL SENIOR ADULT LUNCHEON Sign up on the Senior Adult bulletin board by the office to attend the luncheon . It will be held at FBC Colquitt on Monday, January 13. The program will feature humorist W.H. Phillips of Bainbridge. Remember to bring your covered dish item. The JUBALHEIRS (ladies choir of Georgia Baptist churches) will be in concert in Albany, Friday, Jan 17. See Art for details and transportation options.

July 14-18 @ Norman Park Conference Center First up for this year is CAMP! I know it is winter, but it is never too early to plan for some summer fun. We are returning to CentriKid this year. CentriKid offers kids (grades 3-6*) the opportunity to experience the message of Jesus through Bible study, recreation, track times, and worship. Cost is $150/child (for church members or regular attendees). I believe in camp so much that I'm determined even with budget cuts to make it is more affordable for our FBC families. If you would like to work it out to pay in $50 increments over February, March and April, please let me know. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due by Wednesday, February 5. *There is a 6th grade track! I am more than happy to take your 6th grader, however, please make sure you consider any youth trips your preteen would like to be a part of as well.
