The training consists of a 1 day theoretical and hands on model, where participants practice
the Math Interactive Learning techniques, developed for children with FASD.
Participants can choose from different levels of training, namely:
Level 1: Basic Training, consisting of theory, and hands-on practice of the MILE teaching
approach.
Level 2: Certification Training, consisting of the basic training, followed by a period of
supervision during which the participant submits 3 video recordings of actual
sessions with students, for assessment by MILE staff. Participants who choose Level
2 will be able to continue with the Train-the-Trainer level after they have submitted
their video recordings. This training will be offered some time in the future.

Fee: Level 1: $150.00, which includes the MILE workbooks, theory CDs, a CD with the
curriculum pages, and lunch.
Level 2: $450.00, which includes the above, and 3 hours of video assessment.
(Scholarships are available and applications are available upon request)

For out of town participants we have arranged a special discount at the Marriott Courtyard
Hotel which is right across the street from the training location.
