RESULTS

At t h e c o m p l e t i o n o f t h e s t u d y , t h e s i x s u b -
j e c t s w e r e a s k e d t o c o m m e n t o n t h e d i f f e r e n t

DISCUSSION
Th e r e s u l t s s h o w e d t h a t t h e b e h a v i o r a l l y e n -
g i n e e r e d d i s p e n s e r a s s u r e d t h a t a l m o s t a l l p i l l s
( 9 7%) w e r e t a k e n a n d a t t h e s c h e d u l e d t i m e .
In c o n t r a s t , t h e m o r e u s u a l m e t h o d o f r e l y i n g
o n o n e 's w r i s t w a t c h r e s u l t e d i n 1 6 % o f t h e
p i l l s b e i n g o m i t t e d ; t h e a l a r m t i m e r w a s o n l y
s l i g h t l y b e t t e r . Of c o u r s e , t h e f i n a l c l i n i c a l
v a l u e o f t h e p r e s e n t f i n d i n g s m u s t a w a i t d i r e c t
c o m p a r i s o n s i n a n a t u r a l s e t t i n g w i t h p a t i e n t s
