Reply Speech Introduction

So congratulations on being appointed the last defender of your fortress. Reply speech is
basically your last round of debating without any interventions from your opponents. It is (I
can say) the most relaxed round in debate.
If you are the opposing teams last speaker, you will go first in this round and only then the
proposing teams speaker will go.
What you have to do in reply speech round are, summing up all your points and your
opponents points, compare your arguments and your opponents arguments and state why
your case is better.
Do all that in 4 minutes.
In reply speech you have to really hold your horses dude. Well, its a peaceful round without
any POIs so yeah, HOLD YOUR HORSES. It is important to state your points, comparisons
and reasons clearly. If you are the madly-insane-non-stop-talking-maniac-that-is-very-
robust-and-angry-when-provoked kind of debater, it will be better if you can change your
angry behaviour into the-i-am-kind-of-a-hippie-and-relaxed-dude-and-oh-i-listen-to-the-
classical-music mood in this round. Relax. Smile if you have to so you can provoke your
opponents and capture the judges attention.
