At the time of the
independence clothing, was
very different from today.
The men wore :  light pants, long 
shirts, feather berets, sandals, fair 
jackets, leather boots and straw
hats.
The women wore: long dresses, long necklases, long
skirts, guantes, round neck blouses, ballon sleeves and
hand fans.

Simón Bolívar thwas born in caracas in
1783 on july 24 and thdied in Santa Marta
1830 on december 17.
His parents were Vicente Bolívar and
concepción palacios, they died when he
was a child. He was interested

he was a president of republic of
Colombia from 1819 to 1830. he mairred

Francisco de Paula Santander was
born in Cúcuta in 1792 on april 2,

and died in Bogotá 1840 on may 6.

Santander Colmenares and
Manuela Antonio. He studied in
Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé.
He was a lawyer and politicial, he
was a president of republic of
Colombia in 1814 on november 15th.
Antonio Nariño was bornth in Santa
Marta in 1765 on april 9 and died
in Villa de Leyva in 1823 on
december 13.

Camilo Torres was born in Popayan

His parents were Jerónimo de Torres 
and María Teresa Tenorio y  Carvajal.
He studied at the seminary in 
Popayan, he was a lawyer and
politicial.
He was leader of the federalist
movement in New Granada.
Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada
was born in España in 1509 and
died in Colombia in 1579 .
His parents were Luis Jiménez
de Quesada and Isabel de
Rivera Quesada.
He studied law at Salamanca.
He was a lawyer.
He was chief justice of the
colony of Santa Marta.

changed and learn about the lives of
some characters from the era of
independence.
