MERGERS & ACCQUISITIONS
• Mahindra and Mahindra along with Nissan and Renault to build a auto
plant in Chennai.
• The south Indian city of Chennai ON 27TH FEB. got an auto project.
Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra has announced their plans
to establish an Rs 4,000 crore car manufacturing facility near the city
in partnership with French car giant Renault and Japan’s third largest
automaker Nissan.
• This plant is likely to have an installed capacity to make 4 lakh vehicles
a year. Production is scheduled to begin in 2009.
• The three companies aim to manufacture vehicles in this plant which
would take on competing products from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and
Tata Motors.
• The Mahindra group would have a 50 per cent stake in the project.
Renault and Nissan would take the rest of the share in this project.
MERGERS & ACCQUISITIONS
• Mahindra & Mahindra acquires a majority stake in
DGP Hinoday Industries announcement made on 28th
nov 2006.
-M&M aims to accquire 66% stake by buying shares from
existing shareholders.rest of stake would be owned by DG
PIRMAL GP. & INDIA PRIVATE EQUITY FUND MAURITIUS.
-This deal would mark the entry of Mahindra in the sophisticated
SG iron casting space.
• MAHINDRA plans on june 2007 to bring scorpio SUV
to US in 2009

COCHLEAR IMPLANTS
The mahindra group has pledged to sponsor
the treatment and recovery –cum-
rehabilitation of profoundly hearing
impaired, underprivileged children through
COCHLEAR IMPLANT program.

In keeping with its ethos and in recognition of an over half


century relationship with the Armed Forces, M&M donated
Rs.70 lakhs to the Army in 1999, following the Kargil war .
