Brief description A play which imagines a fictional meeting between two of Black
history’s foremost characters.

It’s Valentine’s Day in Harlem, 1965. Malcolm X has returned

from the UK to an America seething with violence and hatred. His
house has been fire-bombed and in one weeks’ time, he will be
assassinated at the Audubon Ballroom. But tonight, separated
from his family and with a death warrant on his head, he will risk
the scorn of his followers to meet with the iconic leader whose
philosophy he has so fiercely opposed: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Taking place just days after Malcolm X’s electrifying visit to

England, this highly imagined encounter captures the individual
humanity, political maturity and enduring integrity of two men
who would ultimately give their lives for freedom. More than a play,
this dramatic event takes audiences to the heart of the civil rights
movement and to the centre of the debate that still rages today.

Behind the myths, are the human struggles that change the
course of history.

information
Brief description An adventure across continents!
Eric and Bill are searching for something… a rare bird of prey. Fly
with them all the way from Africa to Britain, as they travel over
the lakes, along rivers and down to the sea!
On their adventure, the boys enter the world of a giant pop-up
book telling the true story of the Osprey, one of Britain's rarest
birds. They find themselves flying through Nigerian desert sands
and along the Moroccan coastline, facing fierce storms and high
seas, taking the same perilous journey as the bird as it migrates.
The Bird Book is suitable for families with children aged 4+
