Special events Alexandra Park Library Creative Writing Competition During March we will be launching a new poetry/prose/ ction/non-ction competition which will be open to everyone. Based on a theme London Journey, the competition will be judged in June with winners and runners-up being invited to give a public reading at the library. FREE CHALLENGING BIKE RIDES IN HARINGEY IN FERBUARY Back by popular demand - Every Sunday morning in February British Cycling is organizing challenging and speedy rides exclusively for adults. The rides are ideal for anyone looking to take their cycling to the next level or train for a charity bike ride or sportive. All rides will start at 9am from Grove Hill Car Park Alexander Palace Way (N.B not the main exhibition car park), N22 7AY Covering 28 miles of a fantastic circular route in the north of London showing that you can escape the city on quiet roads! The ride will go out of the city past the beautiful Alexandra Palace and on to Barnet and Hertfordshire and Enfield. There are a few fun hills to negotiate but its tarmac all the way on this ride, making it ideal for road bikes. BOOK NOW - Places must be booked in advance.
