Materials List
REQUIRED materials (alot of these materials you probably already have at home)

• Note pad

• Pencils: 6B, 4B, 2B, HB, 2H, 4H, 6H (ex: Tombo, Berol Turquoise, Derwent, Staedtler)

• Pencil Sharpener: battery operated or small hand operated

• Drawing paper (cheap stuff)

• Bristol Vellum Pad: 9” x 12” (Recommended brands: Strathmore, Canson)

• Tracing paper pad OR 12” roll of white drafting trace (“bumwad”)

• Eraser : kneaded or white plastic eraser

• Removable tape: white paper tape, drafting tape or 3m removable tape

• Value Finder: commercial or hand-made

• View Finder: purchase an inexpensive 6”x8” white mat and we will make in class

• 2 large paper clips

Materials for Classes 4 and 5: your choice


• for graphite: Strathmore Bristol Smooth (Plate) paper: single sheet OR sketch pad (9 x 12”)
• for colored pencils: colored pencils, selected substrate, color mixing book
• for watercolors: all watercolors, brushes, selected substrate, color mixing book
