Note: A $5 materials fee will be collected by the instructor at the first class, to help defray costs
of specimens and special materials.

Pens:
One Crowquill pen holder with #102, #103, #104, #107 and #108 points
Pen bodies with these nibs can be economically purchased as sets.
One 4x0 or .18mm technical pen (Rotring, Koh-I-Noor)
One 2x0 or .30mm technical pen (Rotring, Koh-I-Noor)
Other pen sizes as desired. The more sizes you have, the more flexibility you have.
Note: Disposable pens, even though similarly sized, won’t be used in this class.

Water container
Rapidograph Black India Ultradraw ink
Kneaded eraser
Click white plastic eraser
Erasure guard with curved openings
Tracing vellum, 9x12 or larger
2H, 2B graphite pencils and sharpener
Scotch removable tape
Journal (We’ll discuss this the first class – don’t pre-purchase)
Small Ruler
Magnifying glass
Paper: Bristol Plate, 9 x 12” or larger 3 to 5 sheets. Be sure your tablet says “Plate”
Sketch pad or sketch paper, 9x12” or larger if desired, does not need to be archival,
newsprint is good for this.
Mounting board – 11 x 14” - Masonite, alligator board (heavy duty foam core), wood or
the mounting block from watercolor paper blocks.

#2 or #4 Watercolor brush
Small plastic palette
