Required materials (most of these materials you probably already have at home)

• Note pad

• Pencils: suggested 4B, 2B, HB, 2H, 4H (wood or mechanical)


• Pencil Sharpener: battery operated or small hand operated

• Drawing paper (cheap stuff)


• Tracing paper pad OR 12” roll of white drafting trace (“bumwad”)

• Eraser : kneaded or white plastic eraser


• Removable tape: white paper tape, drafting tape or 3m removable tape

• Scissors
• 12” clear plastic ruler
• Angle Finder (goniometer) OR proportional dividers OR protractor
• Value Finer
• View Finder: purchase a white inexpensive 8x10” pre-cut mat frame, cut into 2 “L” shapes
• 2 large paper clips
• 11x14” piece of white foam core

• Painting or colored pencil supplies (for final plate) – your choice


• 1 sheet substrate for final plate (suggestions: Strathmore BRISTOL Plate 500 series OR 140lb. Arches
or Fabriano Artistico hot press watercolor paper)
