EXHIBITION CHECKLIST- TRIMESTER #2

2010-2011
What you must bring:
o All interest project work
o Agendas (enough copies for each student, a transparency of your agenda, or a giant-sized agenda)
o All visual aids for all subjects and interest project

NOTE: IF A STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE A VISUAL AID FOR ANY SUBJECT OF THE EXHIBITION, S/HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PRESENT THAT SUBJECT AND A REDO EXHIBITION WILL BE REQUIRED.

What you must do for your exhibition:


INTRODUCTION
o Introduce yourself
o Welcome audience
o Pass out and review your agenda

PROJECT WORK: (25%)


o Interest Project
o What was your driving question? (This should be prominent on your visual aid.)
o Why did you choose it?
What did you learn about it?
Visual aids should be focused on this part of the project.

NOTE: ALL OF THESE ITEMS MUST HAVE A SEPARATE VISUAL AID. Be creative!

Math (15%):
o Explain how to convert fractions to decimals to percents using your circuit game board (game board will be created in
class).

Writing (10%):
o Recite Wax Museum speech
o Present symbol that represents your person (i.e. Rosa Parks – Model of city bus)
o Extra-credit for dressing up in costume of your wax figure

Reading (15%):
o You will be creating a “Time Capsule” for your guided reading book using the attached sheet and the directions below.
o Time Capsule: which includes five tangible items
o 5 Note cards: which includes written details using examples from the story to explain the significance of
the five items.

Social Studies (15%):


o Create a collage explaining how or why people are willing to endure hardships and risk their lives for the common good (i.e.
Harriet Tubman during slavery, Miep Gies during the Holocaust, Martin Luther King during the Civil Rights Movement, or
Wael Ghonim in Egypt today.) What commonalities (determination, bravery, etc) do you notice about these individuals?
Include pictures that describe your personal aspirations too.

Science (15%):
o Make a completed circuit quiz board, explain how you made it, and use the following energy terms to describe how the
energy is transferred:
o Source: Is the source stored energy or another form of energy?
o Path: What is the path that the energy must follow?
o Load: What is the load?
o Open Circuit
o Closed Circuit
