ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I owe a great many thanks to a great many people who helped and
supported me during this presentation.
My deepest thanks to Lecturer,
Mr. Harkamaljeet Singh Bhullar .
the Guide of the
project for guiding and correcting various documents of mine with attention and
care. He has taken pain to go through the project and make necessary correction as
and when needed.

I express my thanks to the Principal of, [Lovely proffesional university], for

extending his support.

I would also thank my Institution and my faculty members without whom this project
would have been a distant reality. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to my family and well
wishers.
INTODUCTION :
 The most important technological
invention of recent times is the
microprocessor.
 The development in the technology of
the integrated circuits made it possible
for the engineers of the INTEL
CORPORATION OF AMERICA to develop
a microprogrammable computer chip in
1971. This was Intel 4004 which
consisted of 2300 transistors on a chip.
Microprocessor (MPU)

A group of
electronic circuits
fabricated on a
semiconductor chip
that can read binary
instructions written
in memory and
process binary data
according to those
instructions.

THE 8085A MICROPROCESSOR:
The most popular
microprocessor , Intel 8085A.
The Intel 8085A is an 8-bit
microprocessor . It has an 8-
bit bidirectional data bus
which is used for data input
as well as data output in the
form of 8-bit(D0-D7)words.
The adress bus is 26-bit wide
, which means that memory
address space is 64K bytes.
It has an 8-bit ALU. There is
an 8-bit register known as
accumulator. The 8085A
operates on a single +5 V
power supply.The interupt
system of microprocessor
consist of five different input
signals.

TECHNOLOGY:
ADVANTAGES: DISADVANTAGES:
 More sensitive and scalable  Shift in Thought: Digital Logic v.
 Communication Options Circuitry
 Fault Oscillography and SER data  More Complex Logical Systems
 Better targeting and  Longer Commissioning
annunciation Procedures
 More reliable; failure alarm also  Additional Training
included Requirements
 Advanced protection features all
in one box
 Economical both Financially and
Physically

Microprocessor Architecture:

 The MPU communicates with memory and

I/O using the system bus consisting of:
 Address bus: unidirectional and carries memory
and I/O addresses
 Data bus: bidirectional; transfers binary data and
instructions between MPU and memory and I/O
 Control lines: Read and Write timing signals
asserted by MPU

and Temperature System
PRATICAL USE OF MICROPROCESSOR:
 Spradecan Electro controls ltd.
Manufactures microcontroller based
monitring sensors, temperature controllers
etc. microcontroller based monitring system
is used for monitring the time , temp, &
energy consumed by the furnance in a pre-
heat treatment process. Microcontroller
based monitring system provides an output
to control the flow of material in a heat
treatment furnance, till the temperature in
the furnance reaches the required set point –
value.Except cpu , It also hold its use in
calculators , I-pods which use touch screens .
FUTURE OF MICROPROCESSOR IN
INDIA:
 The project to make indian microprocessor as it is
being tentatively called will see scientists from
Bhabha atomic research center (BARC),Center fos
advanced development of computing(C-DAC).Indian
space research orientation(ISRO).Centers for
scientific and industrial research (CSIR). & IT Delhi
coming together under the aegis of department of IT.
 An entiity to be called Zerone Corperation for now and
an initial investment of $200million, will carry out the
project according to a government official involved.
Soon India will also have its own microprocessor.
