Charity Posters/Adverts Homework

The poster creates a powerful message to the reader by executing several techniques. Anchoring is used, the words signify what the picture is . Also the use of colour on the title stands out, it makes it bold as the rest of the picture is in black and white which subsequently makes the title more eyecatching. The sad emotional facial expressions executed again make the picture seem more sympathetic and as an effect persuades the reader to donate and help the poor kids similar to the poster. The picture is deliberately set out in black in white to create sympathy and raw emotion, perhaps to portray hardship the children have to face.

Poster two gives a strong image to the reader. Anchoring is used to suggest what the picture is about. The story also implies to the reader that the company can make people happy thus is proven to change peoples lives. This adds a sense of assurance to the reader that if they donate, another persons life can be changed, similar to the boys in the picture. The bold words look at me know is significant as it highlights the important message to the reader. Again this proves that changing faces makes differences to peoples lives.
