An ice cube is a solid. A book is a solid. Solids, liquids, gases, these are phases of matter. Solids, liquids, gases, our world is made of matter. A liquid has no definite shape, But does have a definite volume. It almost always can be seen. Water is a liquid. Soup is a liquid. Solids, liquids, gases, these are states of matter. Solids, liquids, gases, our world is made of matter. A gas has no definite shape. It has no definite volume. It often is invisible. Smoke is a gas. Air is a gas.
