Placental mammals
:Placental mammalsare mammals whose young areborn at a relatively advanced stage (more advanced than the young of othermammals, the monotremes and marsupials). Before birth, the young arenourished through a placenta. The placenta is a specialized embryonic organthat is attached the mother's uterus and delivers oxygen and nutrients to theyoung. Most mammals are placental mammals, like cats, dogs, horses, andpeople.
Mammals have to eat a lot to maintain their high body temperature. Dietsvary from genus to genus. As with most animal groups, there are moreherbivores (plant-eaters) than there are carnivores (meat-eaters).mother feeding herbabywarm-blooded <warm = moderatelyhot + blooded <blood = red fluid inveinsbloodnourish = give foodtoegg-laying mammal= animal whichreproduces witheggs.immature< in-maturepouchattach = beconnected withgenus = group
