Public construction projects Billions going toward facilities, roadways

Thousands of construction jobs were preserved in Utah during the recession because of an unusual spate of public construction projects mounted by local, state and federal agencies. Without them, Utahs depressed construction sector would more closely resemble those in harder-hit Arizona and Nevada.
