Good afternoon. I wanted to share some important information for the next week or so. The Pencader Charter School Board is having a town hall style meeting on May 7th at 7:00pm in the school cafeteria, refreshments will be available. This is a chance for parents, students & staff to have a conversation with the board members and discuss any concerns they have. We have several members whose terms are up in July and we are looking for nominations of parents, teachers, business persons and community members to fill vacated and open seats. If you have persons interested, please contact the board members with their information. On May 21st at 5:30 pm there will be another meeting to discuss the School Policy and Procedure Manual along with the School Board By-Laws. We are looking for input from our school community as we update and revise these documents. If you can't arrive at 5:30pm8:00pm, this will be an open meeting so please join us even if late. The absolute last day to purchase prom tickets is Monday April 30th. The cost is $90 per person or $170 for a couple (which includes after prom activities). Tickets can be purchased from Ms. Quinn in room 114. The following is an opportunity for all students to earn community service hours, however, if a senior needs hours for graduation they must be turned in by May 15th for them to count and this is the last PTO sponsored event before then. May 5 - Bethel Church Community Health Day, Herman Holloway Park, Wilmington, 8:00am-4:00pm Volunteers are needed to help set-up/clean-up, help with activities throughout the day and hand out information regarding Pencader enrollment. You may also sign up for this event with Mr. Corbin, corey.corbin@pcs.k12.de.us. Transportation may be available if needed but you must let me know immediately.
