Springvilles 2nd Annual Hawaiian Daughters Night Out

Event Date Friday, February 20

Time 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.
Venue School Gym
There will be a DJ, Hawaiian dance instructors and dance contests, photo
booth with unlimited prints, crafts and hair braiding. We will also have Hawaiian
leis, flowers, snow cones, food and raffle for purchase.

Presale ticket price: $20 for each Parent-Daughter couple, $5 for each
additional daughter or adult figure. Tickets are $25 at the door plus $5 for each

in your orders by 17th Feb. and save some money!

participating in the Son Fun Night
and Dads to come forward and
help us make this event fun and
special. Help is needed during the
event with registration, crafts,
popcorn popper, games, making
announcements and clean up.
We need at least ONE volunteer to
come to our next meeting to be a
part of the planning that can help

Science Fair

Science Fair Help-out Schedule

With over 130 applications, Springville is gearing up

for its first Science Fair on April 8, 2015!

As students enthusiastically prepare to work

on their projects for the upcoming science
fair, the committee will have 2 volunteers
available for an hour after school (3 to 4 p.m.)
in the multi-purpose room of the school on
the dates mentioned below to help
out/answer questions/give suggestions.

Registration for the fair is now CLOSED and we will not

be accepting any more applications. Display boards
are in the process of being ordered so if you have still
not paid for your board, this is the last chance to get
it at a discounted price of $3.25!
Send in your money to Springville PTO by Feb 18 to
order through us. You may also use your own display
board provided it meets the standard specification.
(White trifold 36x48).
Pick up details for the board will be emailed soon!

March 6, 12, 20 and April 3

Participants/parents are invited to come and

PTO Board Vacancies

Auction Donations & Meeting

We are still looking for donations from all our
Springville families for the auction (May 29, 2015)
especially of $5 gift cards to local businesses like
Target, grocery stores, Starbucks, etc. The proceeds
from the auction will benefit the Outdoor School and
Biztown programs which cost up to nearly $23,000.
Please attend the auction meeting on the
Wednesday, Feb 18 at 7PM in the library and get
involved! If you have any questions or would like to
volunteer please email auction@springvillepto.org.

Next PTO Meeting March 10

The next PTO meeting will be held on March 10, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Parents will be offered an opportunity to learn more about and even try out the Smarter Balanced
Assessment Tests that replace the OAKS test. So mark your calendars; agenda and other details will be
coming up soon!
The after school math club that meets every Friday, has resumed after a short break! We thank our
Springville volunteer Anju Babaria for stepping in as the new coordinator.
