Democrat Shawn Morse Challenges Incumbent Neil Breslin to Several Debates in Capital Region
Morse Calls for Debates in Bethlehem, Troy, Cohoes, Colonie, Albany, and on YNN TV; Urges Breslin to Accept ***Morse, a Firefighter, Vows to Serve as a First Responder for Working People and to Expose Breslin's Costly Failures*** Albany, NYShawn Morse, who is running to represent the Capital Region in the New York State Senate, today challenged incumbent Neil Breslin to a series of debates in cities across the district that will address key issues in the race. Morse called for debates in Bethlehem, Troy, Cohoes, Colonie, Albany, and on the YNN television network. Voters deserve to see us explain who we are and what we stand for. Thats why I am challenging my opponent to these debates, Morse said. "He has not served the people of this district, plain and simple. He may not want to discuss his failed record, but I do. Voters have a right to hear about it. I want to discuss the issues he has ignored, and the priorities he has neglected for years." "Im a firefighter who will serve as a first responder for working people. I plan to step up right away as State Senator and help create more good jobs, strengthen our economy, protect our schools, and make life better for hardworking households, Morse said. It's a clear choice in this race: a choice between a first responder who knows how to make every second count, and an incumbent who knows how to get nothing done, Morse said. "Breslin acts like the wealthy insurance lobbyists who line his pockets: he does as little as possible to help people but asks them to pay a lot for it," he said. I look forward to talking about my vision for the Capitol Region, and to exposing Breslin's costly failures on a range of issues. I urge Neil Breslin to join me in participating in the debates I have proposed, Morse said. ###
