KEY PROJECTS / SEMINARS Master of technology thesis(Current) High strain rate material testing of Ti-6Al-4V alloy using Split

Hopkinson Pressure Bar setup.

Objective is to evaluate the yield and ultimate strength of Ti-6Al-4V alloy in tension, compression and shear at high strain rate.Evaluate the heating and cooling effect on the properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy. Work involves specimen design and design for experiment, design of the heating and cooling system for the specimen; examine the microstructural changes and hardness changes in tested specimen.

Bachelor of engineering project(2008-09)

Design & Manufacturing of Concentricity and Squareness Checking Gauge for rear axle carrier of Mahindra Tractor.
Objective was to minimize inspection time and damage to part during inspection. Work InvolvedSelection the gauging unit with precision of 20m, Design the structure to mount the gauging unit, rear axle carrier of Mahindra tractor.

COURSE PROJECT
Finite element analysis of cantilever beam (3D). Simulation of gravity die casting using AUTOCAST. Electro-thermal analysis of resistance spot welding of Aluminium sheets in ANSYS 11.0. Stress-displacement analysis of die forging problem in ANSYS 11.0. Analysis of hot spot in die casting in ANSYS 11.0.

SOFTWARE SKILLS
ANSYS 11.0, DEFORM 3D, AUTOCAST, Pro-E, AutoCAD, C, and C++. As a Research assistant in I.I.T. Bombay from august 2008 to October 2009 on a projectDesign for manufacture of Seat-Belt mechanism for an automobile.
