Hands-on testing work on CMM, computerized surface finish, roundness / runout testers, spring testers, camshaft

1) Research Project and Thesis: Computer Controlled Linear Heat Conduction Device in Air-
Cooled (Improved Design) over Previous Water-Cooled Version. Project /Thesis submitted to
project advisor.

 Used Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0 for 3D modeling and 2D drawings of this project. Pro E Mechanica
and Pro E Mechanism were used for structural / thermal analysis and mechanism simulation of the
device assembly. Cabling. 3000 hours of CAD work and 700 hours of FEA.
 I machined all components in the college machine shop. Material selection and designing took 6
months and manufacturing another 6 months to complete. Device is interfaced with a PC via National
Instruments DAQ cards and Ogden easy insert / extract type thermocouples using Vissim 5.0 software
for its circuit design and control. Writing of thesis took a few more months.
2) Packaging Machine Research Project: Worked for 6 months on design and development of this
project from a previous concept. It had a conveyor where cartons were folded, items placed in the
cartons by a pick and place robot, cartons were closed, sealed and moved on the conveyor towards the
shipping station. Due to lack of funds project could not be manufactured in the college machine shop.
3) Undergraduate one semester courses in CAD (Unigraphics) and Computer Science (Basics).
