COMPANY BACKGROUND
M.S. Oberoi established East Indian Hotels (EIH) in 1949 and is the flagship company of Oberoi group. The East India Hotels Ltd now popularly known as Oberoi Group, operates 28 hotels and three cruisers in five countries under the luxury Oberoi and five-star Trident brands. The Group is also engaged in flight catering, airport restaurants, travel and tour services, car rentals, project management and corporate air charters. It owns the second largest chain of hotels in India.

MANAGEMENT OF EIH
Mr. P.R.S. Oberoi is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EIH Limited, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group. He is also the Chairman of Oberoi Hotels Private Limited, the major shareholder of EIH Limited. Mr. Oberoi is the son of late Rai Bahadur M.S. Oberoi, the founder of The Oberoi Group.

TRIDENT HOTELS: Trident Hotels are located in India's prime business locations as well as some of the most culturally rich and exotic locations. MAIDENS HOTEL: Maidens Hotel is one of Delhi's oldest hotels, built in the early 1900s and has retained its colonial charm and architecture. RE-BRANDING HOTELS: The management had decided to rename Vilas hotels as The Oberoi Rajvilas, The Oberoi Amarvilas , The Oberoi Udaivilas, etc. Re-naming was done in order to remove the misconception from mind of customers that the Vilas hotels were separate from the Oberoi brand. This re-branding would strengthen the reach of the Oberoi brand in the world market. INTERNATIONAL MARKETING: The company is strengthening its marketing efforts across the globe. To optimize brand recall, the company has retained specialized public relations companies in United States and Europe. The group has strategic relations with the leading hotels and small luxury hotels of the world, to help them in marketing and assist them in distribution.

They provide reservation facilities through toll free numbers and online registration. Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Indias certified airlines to make customers satisfaction They promote their service through mileage point which provides customers and travelers some offers depending on their points. Providing special offers such as HIMALAYAN Adventure, exotic honeymoon, exotic vacations, Business travel plus and some other for meeting and conferences.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has been ranked the best hotel chain (outside the US) in Cond Nast Travellers 2007 Business Travel Awards readers survey. Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has been ranked the best hotel chain (outside the UK) in The Guardian, Observer and guardian.co.uk Travel Awards 2008 readers survey. Three Oberoi hotels were ranked amongst the six best in the world by the readers in "Travel + Leisure Worlds Best Awards 2008". "The Oberoi Rajvilas", Jaipur; "The Oberoi Udaivilas", Udaipur and "The Oberoi Amarvilas", Agra were rated 2nd, 4th and 6th best hotels in the world respectively. In the same readers poll, The Oberoi Rajvilas, The Oberoi Udaivilas and The Oberoi Amarvilas were ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd best hotels respectively in Asia.
FINANCIAL STATUS: Total Revenue - Rs. 1073.06 crores( Rs. 1155.11 Crs ). Profit before Tax - Rs. 273.26 crores(Rs. 349.84 crores). Profit after Tax - Rs. 170.44 crores (Rs. 217.23 crores). The Company had declared a Dividend of Rs. 1.20 per share.
