    Research interest Title: Give me a hand!

    My research interest lies in autonomous mobility and manipulator design. For my undergraduate final year project my team built and programmed an infra-red controlled electromagnetic end effector for a mobile robot. I thus have some design and programming experience in this area and Ill be very much excited not only to hone on my experience to develop a prototype manipulator for PR2, but also to work in a team and develop new skills. I have attached a short video clip of the work I did back in Nigeria in 2007. My background is in electrical and electronic engineering. Because of the limitations of programming knowledge in Africa, my undergraduate courses by and large did not involve much programming. I however good with matlab, and am actively engaged in developing my Python and Java programming prowess. You will find that i am an eager and fast learner. My zest will be seen as I have much to prove, and robotics is my passion. I also will bring a measure of cultural diversity to your team, thus bringing new ideas and new perspectives to existing ideas to as you will very few African roboticists out there. Thank you.
