Setting of Experiment Place: In the backyard of the subjects home. Environmental condition: Fine weather, a bit sunny Noise level: A bit noisy, but not really disturbing. The noises were made by other children playing in the same backyard, and by the old people playing cards. Materials and Procedure Materials: a. 3 glass containers - two 250ml identical looking glasses. one 500ml glass, tall and thin compared to the first two glasses. b. tap water a. b. c. d. Procedure the two identical-looking glasses (250ml glasses) were filled with the same amount of water The subject was instructed to look at the first two glass containers (250ml) carefully, and was asked if they hold the same amount of liquid. After the subject agreed that the two containers hold the same amount of water, the water in one of the 250ml glasses was then transferred into the 3rd glass container (500ml glass) while the subject was looking. The subject was then asked if the amount of the liquid in the 500ml glass was the same with the liquid in the 250ml glass.

Results of the Experiment The subject agreed that the two 250ml identical glass containers hold the same amount of water. The subject also said that the amount of liquid in the 500ml container was the same with the liquid in the 250ml glass. (actual quote) eh parehas lang naman yan eh. The subject was smart enough to observe that the liquids in both containers are of the same amount. The intelligence level of the subject should also be taken account for, since the subject, according to his parents, belongs to the top in his kinder class. Environmental conditions should also be considered, since any distractions may lead to difference in reactions.
