The existence of the light resulted to a drop in the resistance reading. This is due to
the inverse relationship of the light intensity and the resistance. As the photons of
the light reached the photoresistor, the electrons become excited. Enough energy
will lead to the excitation of electrons that results to them being able to jump from
the valence band to the conduction band. Charge movements result to the
production of current, hence resulting to a decrease in the resistance.
