Walk to School Week Mann School

Help celebrate Walk to School Week at Mann School by walking or biking to school Monday, Oct. 1st - Friday, Oct. 5th! We have some great activities planned for the week: Students are encouraged to wear different colors each day of the week to show their commitment to going green: Monday, Oct. 1st Wear Red for Transportation Safety Tuesday, Oct. 2nd Wear Blue for Water Conservation Wednesday, Oct. 3rd Wear Green for Reducing Waste and Protecting the Environment th Wear Yellow for Energy Thursday, Oct. 4 Friday, Oct. 5th Wear your Favorite Sports Team Colors Stay Active! Volunteers will be on the blacktop each morning to encourage and distribute rewards to students who walk or bike to school. On Monday, Oct. 1st, students will receive pledges to walk or ride as often as possible. The signed pledges will be collected and used to award t-shirts in daily drawings during the week. On Friday, Oct. 5th, we will stage a mini-walkathon, around the quarter mile path behind the schoolcome out before school and help us beat last years count!
