16th September 2011 Dear Parents and Carers Re: Sponsored Walk Richmond Park, Friday 7th October

r 2011 Our annual Richmond Park sponsored walk will take place on Friday, 7th October 2011. Students need to register at 9.30am at school and the walk will start at 9.40am and we anticipate that all students will be back in school by 1pm. The approximate distance is 8 miles. To ensure their comfort on the walk they should wear their white P.E. polo shirts, jogging bottoms and/or P.E. sweatshirts and trainers/comfortable shoes. If the forecast is for rain then students should bring a suitable coat. Unless the weather is very bad the walk will go ahead. On the course there will be 4 check points, where students can get refreshments and their sponsor forms stamped. The sponsor form is on the reverse of this letter and the proceeds from sponsors will go to the orphanage in Latin America where Miss Taber is working for this academic year. Tutor groups will be awarded 1 Christs Credit for every 1 raised, and the hope is that every tutor group will raise a minimum of 250. The tutor group with the largest sponsorship collected will be awarded their own mufti day. Sponsorship money needs to be handed in by Friday 4th November 2011. Students will have their lunch between 12.30pm and 1pm and afternoon registration will be at 2pm after which they will be dismissed. Yours sincerely
