    DMPS IB Primary Years Programme Vision 2012-2013

    The following goals apply to all IB PYP students. IB teachers differentiate for the needs of all students, including those of SPED and ELL. IB students and their parents are increasingly aware of and prepared for the DMPS IB Middle Years Programmes [MYP] and Diploma Programme [DP]. IB students outperform others on all assessments in preparation for future opportunities, like the DP. They are at the very least proficient in reading, math, and science. IB students and teachers are supported by the school and district in implementing IB.

    IB students do significant and authentic work, including when they complete their capstone projects

    IB students explore and inquire, sharing what they have learned with others.

    IB students are lifelong learners who are self-motivated to learn outside of the classroom.

    IB students embody the traits of the Learner Profile.

    IB students care about making the world a better place because they think critically and are self-motivated to get involved in community action and peacemaking.
