Riddle Hunt! By: Mark Ginder

Items included in this game:

1. Blindfold

2. Golden Ring

Game Description:
Teams: Up to 2 people per team can play this mentally/collaboratively challenging game.

Directions: Part 1: Riddle Team 1 hides the golden ring within the set boundaries agreed upon by both teams (*Hint Make the boundaries large, but within a 2 minute walking distance). Team 1 then hides the golden ring under an object within the agreed upon boundaries. The team then has three minutes to come up with a riddle with the answer being the object the ring is hidden under. Team 2 then has just two minutes to come up with three guesses (the objects) where the ring might be located.

Part 2: Hunt Once the guessing team has its three guesses, the blindfold is then placed on the chosen teammate. The next step is tricky as the teammate who is not blindfolded needs to verbally guide his teammate to each of their three guesses in less than 4 minutes. Once the team has either found the ring, run out of time or has not located the ring within three guesses, it is the next teams turn.

Scoring and Penalties A game is won whenever a team scores 35 points. Each found ring is worth 5 points. A team is penalized 3 points if they cannot come up with a riddle on time A team is penalized 3 points if they cannot come up with three guesses on time. No penalty is assessed if a team runs out of time trying to make their way to the objects they guessed. However, this will result in the loss of a turn.

Helpful Hints: Need help designing a riddle? *Fire would be a bad choice for this game, but the following example demonstrates good visual routines for creating a riddle suitable for this game.
