Request for Delegation, August 14 for Eat Local Caledon, Eat Local Month, Caledon Crunch and Eat Local Caledon Delivery

Dear Mayor Morrison and Members of Council, This is formal notification of our request to delegate at Councils August 14, 2012 meeting. Karen Hutchinson of the Caledon Countryside Alliance (CCA) would like to address Council on an update of Eat Local Caledon with special reference to Eat Local Month, Caledon Crunch and Eat Local Caledon Delivery. For 2012, the CCA and Eat Local Caledon will be running an Eat Local Month in September. In addition to the week-long resident challenge, we have organized a number of special events, workshops and Caledon Crunch for school children. At this time, we would like to ask for Councils support to proclaim September as Eat Local Month and to proclaim October 5, 2012 as Caledon Crunch Day. We also ask Council to join us in the formal launch of Eat Local Caledon Delivery.
