Job Title: Special Education Registrar Dept.

/School: TXVA Position Summary:


Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance for receipt of all required documents for all special education students enrolled full time in the Texas Virtual Academy. Qualifications: Education/Certification

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred Accredited Senior High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency; business college training)
Experience Two years of office experience with a focus on recordkeeping with experience in maintenance of student records in a public school environment preferred Required Knowledge S1ri%, and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have a passion for students, especially students with disabilities. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills to implement multiple and diverse programs. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. 2-3 years of experience as a SPED Registrar or Office Support

Preferred KSAs

Responsibilities and Duties: Request records for newly enrolled special education students. Creates and maintains special education records. Mail ARD notices and ARD documents to parents. Post completed ARDs to student's virtual folder. Create assessment packets for related service coordinator. Communicate regularly with compliance coordinator, special education manager, and related service coordinator. Receive and process all student records including digital copies and maintenance of physical copies in the secure filing cabinets. Provide secure access to student records. Attend SPED team meetings as needed. Equipment Used: Equipment required to perform jobs duties and task previously described.
