1 Classification of computer
1.1.By types:
1.1.1.

Hybrid computer:
It have characteristics and advantage of both digital and analogue computer.

1.1.2.

Analog computer:
It is use to measure the physical components such that temperature, pressure, volume.

1.1.3.

Digital computer:
It works with data in discrete form i.e as the digits of binary code(1 and 0).

1.2.By purpose:

Special purpose:
Design to solve specific task which is built-in into the computer e.g video games and ATM cards.

1.2.2.

General purpose:
Design to solve large variety of general problems . e.g.. home pcs and desktop pcs.

1.3.By size:
1.3.1.

Micro controllers:
They are also called embedded computers .They are not actual computers but have miniproccessors .e.g mobile sim.

1.3.2.

Micro computers:
Micro computers are build to be used by one person. e.g laptop

1.3.3.

Macro computers:
It is very powerful and large computers .required special air conditioned room and it is expensive .

1.3.4.

Super computers:
They are fastest high capacity and largest computers. Used in labs ,weather forecasting.
