Unit I 2. What is management called a process? Explain the elements of management process? 3. Contingency approach to the management is a common sense approach? Examine critically. Distinguish the contingency approach form system approach. Unit II 4. Explain the concept of rationality in decision making. What do you understand by bounded rationality? 5. Differentiate between line and functional types of organization. Which would you adopt for a large manufacturing company and why? Unit III 6. How do Mc Gregorys theory X and theory Y of human behavior help in motivation of employees? Do you think an integrated approach and amalgamation of these theories may be more effective in our country? 7. No one leadership style is the best. Do you agree? Explain with the help of suitable illustrations?
