Guidelines for Individual Assignment Marks: 15


1. All the participants would be required to carry out an individual assignment as a part of the course. 2. Each student is required to carry out aAssignment on any of the contemporary issues concerning international marketing that interest you the most. The topic may be taken from any part of the text book. 3. The project may be attempted covering the following parameters: Specifying issues / problems Strategy to address the issue Critical evaluation 4. The project would consist of 15 marks: 5. The project would be evaluated on the basis of the following: Use of information collected on their own from Corporate Sector, Newspapers, Journals and Magazines Systematic analysis of information collected Verifiability of information as presented in the references. (The source of information should be mentioned explicitly in detail by way of footnotes / endnotes) Analytical ability and presentation Copying contents from internet without any value addition is discouraged. Such at attempt would summarily lead to no marks. In case contents of projects submitted by two or m ore participants are found to copied, all such participants would be given zero marks for unethical practices.

The annexure to the project may be added to support the facts and analysis given in the project. The title of project is to be submitted for approval by October 19, 2012. Last date for submission of project report is November 19, 2012. All projects should be submitted in hard and a soft copy be mailed at prof.rmjoshi@gmail.com List of suggested topics: Identify any problematic situation/ difficulty faced by any transnational Company during its international operation, its implications and the strategy used to overcome the problem. Carry out critical evaluation of the strategy used. Attempt the project under the following heads: Background (half page) Problematic situation/ difficulty faced in international operations (half page) Major Issues (half to one page) Strategy adopted to resolve the issue (4-6 pages) Critical evaluation of the strategy adopted (2-4 pages) Lessons learnt (one page)
