Number 0004 for number 0016. Number 0016? Gabby Cruz asked, requesting Zachary Moenter. She was fighting off the waves of Nightcreations. Number 0015 here. 0016s pretty busy protecting the AOA, what is it now?

Parker Mixon sighed as Gabby told him, Number 0001 is asking for our help in Dream Storage. Stat. Great. Ive got Nightcreations surrounding me. Couldnt he ask for?

Number 0017 here. Ruth Munoz said. With number 0006. Riley Fandrey was trailing behind her best friend and said, Hi! Were comin, number 0001. In her mind, Ruth was thinking she would have rather been helping number 0015. Number 0027 and 0012. London Lenahan and Tiaralei Cade were joining in the gory battle against Prince Imagino. Everyone out there who can hear, HELP! then the line for the two went fuzzy.

The rest of the thirty children were either fighting off Prince Imagino, or trying to operate the Amulet of Contentment. The others?

To dO LIsT Item 2FiNding OUt HoW it aLL StARteD

A long time ago, maybe before you were born, there were 30 students, all of whom were normal- just your average kid. But one day, weird things started happening, and it sent them on the journey of a lifetime. It all started when Gabby felt funny. She complained of a stomachache, and her head hurt. Mr. Whitehead, being your normal teacher, said it was just because they had the latest lunch and that she was hungry. But Gabby was sure it was more than that. She knew as she trudged down to the nurses office. After the nurse not helping and back in class, London began to feel that something was definitely wrong. Suddenly, Gabby began screaming. Everyones eyes turned to her when London felt odd too. Then London noticed-

Gabbys half of their BFF necklace was pulsating and trying to rip the chain of off the poor girl. Then, London felt a sharp pain, and the two girls blacked out. ***

After Mr. Whiteheads class stood or sat nervously for what seemed like hours, London and Gabbys eyes slowly opened. The necklaces had now fused together, and were a bright green. The two sat up and began tugging and pulling at the now one necklace fruitlessly. The class knew that there was nothing that they could do, so everyone gasped when the necklace actually split in normal halves again and a figure stepped out of green mist. It was floating and wearing a black hooded cape. Whatever it was, it had no face, and kept what might be a head tilted down. YOU WILL FAIL! the voice bellowed. THE GEMSTONES ARE ALL GUARDED BY BLACK HART! GIVE

UP, PUNY EARTHLINGS! OR THE TWO WILL SUFFER! He pointed to London and Gabby, who were now rolling on the floor in pain and screaming. The two were sweating profusely and the veins in their necks were popping. STOP! Zachary cried. STOP IT! Whatever this thing was laughed manically and snapped. The girls stopped screaming, and they looked alright, but London said, Im exhausted. Then the figure left in a flash. What was that? Parker asked, looking shocked. Ummm I dont really know. Anna said anxiously, as though she was waiting for It to come back. The room fell silent as another light shone brightly. *^&@! Alexis and Andrew cussed simultaneously as the light turned into a beautiful woman with flowing locks wearing a white toga and holding a golden harp. Some of the boys in class might have described her blue eyes as mesmerizing, if they even could speak at the moment. She came in playing the harp and said with a sweet voice, Hello dear children. You are the chosen to go on the most difficult quest- to stop Prince Imagino and destroy the Gemstones of Envy, Hatred, Laziness, Fear, and Anger.

Everyone seemed stunned. There was an odd silence until Madi asked, Whats going on? And then Jessie, who rarely spoke, asked, Who are you? The woman just laughed as she responded, I am your class guardian angel; the one who has helped you on the confusing questions on every test, the one who made you listen in class. Oh, you! Mohamad said, thinking it funny. No-one laughed, however, and the Angel continued. What is happening is that the Prince has released the power of the Hidden Gemstones, for reasons unknown. Perhaps you have not heard of Prince Imagino. He lives in a far off land called Theropolis, and is the son of King Night and Queen Day. He has one sister, Princess Creatia, but she was lost years ago in the Curse of the Fire and Water. You have to stop these powers from reaching Earth; find the Hidden Jewels, which automatically cast themselves out to different areas of Theropolis; destroy the jewels; and lastly beat Prince Imagino in his anger. No one said anything for what seemed like forever until London, who had felt a lot better by that point (along with Gabby), said, We accept. This led to one of the most

controversial arguments the class ever had (most controversial because it was almost the ONLY argument they ever had). Are you crazy?! Tiaralei whispers to London, What if someone gets killed?! No-one else is going to help the world, smartie. London whispered back. We can all hear you, dumb nuts. Andrew snapped. Shut up, Andrew. Austin said. Everyone was surprised Mr. Whitehead wasnt doing anything. Where is he? Jazzy asked, seeming concerned. Nobody could hear her, though, because everyone was shouting at each other about what to do. The angel suddenly changed her voice from sweet and nice to loud and commanding. STOP! she shouted. Everyone was quiet and she said, The anger jewel has released a bit of its power to Earth. See? Its anger has planted inside of you already. Alright then, its decided. Were saving the world. Zachary said, as if he was in charge. Fine. Jazzy said, agreeing. But cant we eat lunch first?

Were off! The Guardian Angel cried with joy. She played a melody on her magical harp and the class was in a desert. The sand got in their eyes as Tristian coughed, This is Thermos? Thermopolis, doofus, Khiry replied. The Guardian Angel sighed and said, The only way to get something beautiful is to get something ugly first. You all will experience heat, coldness, and intensifying waters. Many of the class groaned. Wait a sec, Ruth said, We didnt pack ANYTHING! Were going to STARVE to death! Oh the Guardian Angel said, seeming embarrassed. So well go back for a little while, dear children.

*** After going back and packing stuff into their school backpacks, after the Guardian Angel froze time on Earth, slowing the rate at which the Hidden Jewels effects spread, and after Gabby was asked by nearly the whole class why she had 5 notebooks (apparently, the adventures of the class might be a good story) the 30 kids left school (again) for the uncomfortable desert. The class began traveling in the extreme heat, and it was to their luck that it was almost the end of the school year and it was hotter, making them wear shorts. The complaining went on until Daniel, who only smiled in class, shouted, WATER! And many of the kids in the gifted class, i.e. Gabby, Parker, Ruth, Riley, London, and Tiaralei, knew all too well that it wasnt water. They warned Daniel, too. But Daniel refused to listen. He jumped in the water, but was not greeted by refreshment and instead slimy Ewwww! Everyone shouted.

Then the Guardian Angel then realized that she has to help them. She threw a bunch of small spheres that looked like blue and purple marbles in the air, and each one flew to a student. These are refresh-pods. She said. You can wish for whatever you need to eat or drink, but the refresh-pods do eventually need recharging. She repeated the action with red and orange marbles, calling them cloth-pods for clothes. Daniel immediately took his refresh-pod and wished for a bottle of fresh, cold water. The rest of the journey through the desert was extremely uneventful, even when Mohamad, Alexis, Tristian, Andrew, and Khiry tried to be funny. Eventually, the class got to the point where we only spoke to ask, Are we there yet? by class numbers. Eventually, when it came to be Eastons fifth turn, the Guardian Angel said, Yes! happily. Finally! Caroline smiled. Yes, the Guardian Angel said sternly, But there are two more extremities left. Then Derrick sighed gloomily. Honestly, theres no other way to describe the cold snow as cold, but the water was interesting

*** Ummm Gabby gulped as her class walked through the swirling tunnel that they always did when traveling via harp music, What if you cant swim? WHAT?! Everyone shouted (Zachary was the loudest as he was on a swim team). Oh my god. Alexis sighed, rolling her eyes. Why do you NOT know how to swim?! Gabby looked extremely embarrassed and had red cheeks. Umm she thought for a second before responding, Almost everywhere Ive lived its either cold or windy. Ok, fine. Whatever. Alexis replied, and she rolled her eyes so slow that she nearly tripped of the edge of a hole in the portal. We must be at the broken string. The Guardian Angel said, grabbing Alexiss arm and pulling her up. Were close. Then she looked back and said, Dont worry, Gabby, in this world, EVERYONE can swim. Suddenly, there appeared to be a large gap in the portal, but the Guardian Angel jumped through it gladly. Are you CRAZY?! Parker shouted through the gap. Then he started coughing and took his head out, which was covered in salt water. Whoa, Ruth said simply. Then her mood brightened as

she said, Im going in! And jumped straight through the hole, following the Guardian Angel. This pattern went on until everyone gained the courage to jump, Gabby naturally last. She peeped through the gap and saw all her friends in the Ocean. Whoa. No way. Then Zachary did an underwater laugh and said, Yes way! and pulled her in. Everything was normal, and for some reason everyone could breathe underwater. Maybe it was because they were all Merpeople? Seriously? Parker sighed as he said, I feel like a five year old girl. What the heck? This is the most embarrassing thing EVER. Anna groaned angrily. Pessimist. Ruth told her, sticking out her own tongue, because Ruth was a total optimist. I, on the other hand, LOVE this. Ace said with a grin. Aw, look at me, Im so BUFF! Ye-yah! Ace flexed what would have been guns, and someone might have liked him if they werent actually sagging instead of bulging. The Guardian Angel taught the class the proper way for a merperson to swim, because proper etiquette was extremely

important for them. So then they all just swam, feeling pretty annoyed because Madi kept singing and occasionally chanting, Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. And the boredom sunk in. Were here! the Guardian Angel said joyfully. The class started whooping, cheering, and having five second parties for one. The class followed the Guardian angel up to shore, and it was beautiful.

To dO LIsT Item 4viSITing ThE nIGhtmARE FactORY

W-wow Austin said, and he wasnt easily impressed. This Is EPIC!!! Ali and Riley cheered at the same time. They were right. Theropolis was extremely sunny, and all the buildings were tall, with rounded corners, and extremely colorful. The whole place looked slightly animated, and some parts were light colored. The whole city came in every color, every shade. It was a pleasant place, where usually, no-one could complain, and everyone had a bright attitude. Then everyone snapped back to reality. This is where I leave you, dear children. The Guardian Angel said with

a smile sweeter than sugar. Find the Jewel of Envy. Destroy it. Beat Prince Imagino. Then she left into a bunch of fog. What now? Jessee asked her class. Simple. Jared replied. Duh. Find the Jewel of Envy. Fine. But what does it look like? Jessee said. Envy green, definitely. Derrick said. Everyone nodded their head in agreement. The class felt pretty stuck, and Jessee knew thats all she could get out of them. She sighed an annoyed sigh that declared she could have done better, but Jessee knew that she couldnt. So the class waited to dry off in the lemon sun (it was literally a lemon and the girls laughed because London and Gabby fairly earned Zachary the name Lemon). Then they started trudging away from the beautiful beach. Oh, Gabby, you must be in love with the sun, you know? Tiaralei said in a mocking way that could be pretty annoying. But Gabby just said whatever and blushed profusely. Eventually, the class had reached the city, which was surprisingly clean and a lot better than the beach.

Well, how do we find the Jewel here? Khiry questioned, twirling a basketball as usual. We were all walking through the streets that looked like New York, London (the city) and Paris altogether when he walked straight into a light post. OW! Khiry said, rubbing his head vigorously. He looked up the light post and gasped. He was about to scream at his classmates when he realized that they already noticed. There was a map hanging on a nail labeled in red letters: For The Chosen. Michael carefully picked the nail out of the post and caught the piece of paper before it drifted off with the wind. The class opened it up to see the face of the Guardian Angel staring from the corner of the paper. The rest of the paper looked like a map of this part of Theropolis. It labeled The Black Hart Caverns, Theropolis Castle, The City, The Mountains, The Jade Pond, The Red River, The Blue Valley, The Shadow Forest, The White Fire, and where the class was. Some places were actually off the map, many of them the colorful places. The face of the Angel looked up at them and said, The Jewels are in the Black

Hart Caverns. One Jewel for each cave. You have to destroy them in the designated places. Go to the Black Hart Caves through the Mountains. You can only get one jewel at a time, and you must conquer Envy first, obviously. Hurry! then her face disappeared into a bunch of shadows. Well, in that case, lets go! Madi said. Jazzy rolled her eyes, because she didnt really like Madi. We all hurried out of the City, hopping on a San-Francisco like trolley that dropped you off outside the City. We all jumped off at the same time. Right outside of the City looked pretty different. In fact, the inside and outside were exact opposites. Inside may have been exceptionally beautiful, but the outside was dark and gloomy, practically screaming, You could put a bunch of clowns, some flowers, and bunnies, but this place wouldnt get any happier. Geez, its really cold. Jalen said into the silence. I I see dead people. Gabby said. Haha, very funny. Ali said, rolling her eyes. No, seriously. Right there. She responded, pointing to a dark spot where there were

creatures coming straight for them. Those arent just

dead people Parker said, So thats why we should RUN! Run where? We cant go back into the City! We have to go forward! Andrew shouted. Fine then, well go straight forward! Parker shouted through the sound of roaring, hissing, screeching, and screaming bursts of Gibberish. What? Are you crazy?! Zachary cried. Not yet! Parker shouted, running deep into the crowd. PARKER! Ruth shouted. NO! Our only choice is to follow him. CeCe said, a glimmer in her eyes. Fine, then. But I just have to do something. London said, whipping out her cloth-pod, and Gabby did too. They both whispered something, and in a flash of light the two were holding long swords. Super cool. Jessie said. Luckily, Tiaralei had kept her Basilisk stick from their previous adventure, and they had all paid attention when they were taught swordsmanship. Lets GO! The three girls shouted.

So twenty-nine kids ran into a bunch of werewolves, gremlins, vampires, ghosts, zombies, Dora, Barney, and My Little Ponies- all things people usually have nightmares of. Whats with the cheerios? Zachary asked. Gabby ran over and put all seven in her hands. Im not afraid of you anymore! She shouted. When she saw an open mouth, she would throw a cheerio into her classmatess mouths. Several minutes later, the whole class was reunited. Dead creatures lay on the ground. Hey look, a carrot! Tiaralei panted. Fighting off a giant Dora is EXHAUSTING, Im sure youve done it. Tiaralei picked it up and was about to take a bite into it when Riley snatched it and threw it into the air. It went so high that no one knew where it went. When the carrot came back down to Earth, however, it was Parker? Michael said. That really hurt, he groaned, looking up at the sky from his flat, stomach up, spread out position. Nice trick. Zachary said, then he turned around to Gabby and said, Why did you say you werent scared of those cheerios anymore? Ill explain on the way. She responded, giggling.

Lets go! Jazzy said, dancing as usual. So, anyways, Gabby said to Zachary, When I was a really little kid, I had a dream that it was night, and my friends, my grandma, and I were parked in a van in front of a Bed, Bath, and Body Works, even though they only had couches in there. We were all saying that we were six, which we were, and then my grandma said she was six too and went into Bed, Bath, and Body works. Zachary started laughing, This sounds really funny. Sure. Anyways, I went into the store to tell y grandma shes 72, not six, but I knocked over one of these two golden vases, and lost the page on this golden Bible. So then this alarm started blaring, and I even put the Bible back on the right page, but these cheerios started chasing me. So they would eat m if I stopped running from them, so I ran a little bit until I backed into a chair. Then they closed in on me And I woke up. The End. Gabby said. Oh. Cool. Zachary said. Im glad nobody else heard that, Gabby said. Tiaralei happened to overhear the last six words, and whispered to London that Gabby had told Zachary

something secret. She didnt know what it was. Eventually, the class got to a building as gloomy as its surroundings. The steel letters on it said, The ightmare Factory. What does ightmare mean? Ace asked. His question was immediately answered as a giant steel N nearly crushed the class. A tall man immediately ran out of the building that looked like it could have been deserted. Oh, there goes another one! He cries. Then he notices the kids looking at him, dumbfounded. Oh, hey. He says, changing his tone from what might be a happy person to extremely depressed. Im Night Mare, an imaginer here at the Nightmare Factory. Not-so-pleased to meet you, not-so-pleased ever. Thats obvious. Tristian said. Shut up, Tristian. Austin said in reply. Anyways, follow me. Night said. We could use your help here at the factory. Considering the fact that the class didnt know this guy, and that theyre too busy saving the world, Parker said, No thanks. Were kind of busy. This was where Night got infuriated. He began to change dramatically. His eyes became yellow and tiger like, he

grew to about twice his height, and his voice grew growlier and he snarled. YOU *snarl* WILL *snarl* COME!!! Everyone took a step back and resentfully agreed to take a look at the Nightmare Factory. They all walked through the doors as the dim lights flickered on. The lights then brightened as the class noticed that the Nightmare Factory was surprisingly clean. Night said, You all go to the very end of the hall and ask for Day. Zachary, I could use your help. Follow me. So the class separated. The twenty nine kids followed the seemingly endless hall, talking about how weird the day had already been. Weve been attacked by some weird guy that looked like the Grim Reaper, Daniel said. We found our Class Guardian Angel, Andrew said. We found out were the Chosen Ones, Tiaralei added. We traveled via magical harp music, London listed. We experienced severe heat, coldness, and water, Ace said, even though that can happen. We were merpeople, Parker said, even though he tried not to remember. We learned who CANT swim, Alexis said with an attitude. Weve visited a

slightly animated city, Riley contributed. Weve fought off nightmare creations, aka Nightcreations, including cheerios. Gabby said. And now were here. Walking down a nearly endless hall. Caroline said, ending the list. Well, that was boring. Anna commented, scowling. What now?

Meanwhile
Why did you choose me? Zachary asked Night as he exited the room. The room was pretty plain and white, except for lots of equipment that looked like computers, with a panel full of buttons that flashed on and off. Because Night replied and closed the door. Minutes later, everyone in the class thought the building was getting pretty hot. THE BUILDING IS ON FI---RE!!! Austin shouted. AND WERE NOT AT THE END OF THE HALL!!! When Jalen noticed that the walls would literally disappear, he pushed on the one a few yards ahead and shouted to his classmates, Go through here! Trust me! When

everyone got to the point where the opening was, they ran through. Parker and Gabby suddenly shouted simultaneously, Zacharys still in there!

Im going back in through the other side! Parker declared. Me too, Gabby said, seeming unsure if she really would. You-you cant! Michael said. Not-not without me! No-one is going! Riley cried. Id rather lose one team member than four! Yeah, Madi agreed, And we dont need him. Well be fine. This isnt your happy-go-lucky world, Madi. This is reality. Wake up! Jazzy shouted loudly. Madi looked very hurt. Jazzy she bowed her head and said, I hate you. GUYS! Jessie shouted, breaking the silence. You cant just rip each other apart like that! No! This was when Michael made a run for it and run back inside the building, and the two other kids in his crew followed. No-one else dared

to follow because they didnt want to burn up in the fire. They stood and waited, because there was nothing else to do. The building is almost all burnt now, Ruth said, pacing back and forth, When are they coming back? The answer was nearly positive-they wouldnt be coming back. No Noah said, nearly in a whisper. Was this the final answer? No.

Gabby! Michael! Parker! Noah shouted joyfully. But the expression on the trios face was anything but joyful. Michael and Parker were crying manly tears, and Gabby looked as if she might start bawling at any moment. That doesnt look good. Austin said. When the group got back to the class, Andrew asked immediately, Where is he? with a stern tone. Parker shrugged and stopped crying immediately so that no one else would see. Ugh, London groaned. Finally we got rid of the little wart. Everyone stared at her as she said, Yeah, fine, I miss him too. And they all had to move on.

To dO LIsT Item 6CONtInuiNG tHe JOurnEY

Well, to the Mountains Caroline said. Fortunately, the Nightmare Factory (or what was the Nightmare Factory) needed a discreet place to hide, so they were right beside the mountains. Good thing its a short trip.Madi said, trying as hard as she could to lighten the mood. Everyone tried to smile as they journeyed towards the Mountains. Before setting off, however, Tiaralei suggested, or, well, commanded that they all change to something warmer so that they dont freeze in the cold. After five minutes, everyone looked like marshmallows and Alexis was carrying a sword, Mohamad had a hand gun, and everyone had a unique weapon (Ace had a pink unicorn horn).

In the Mountains, it was snowing and cold, FREEZING cold. Its Mountain as far as the eyes can see. Ace said. Thats great, Ace, but we dont care. Andrew said. Ace just smiled and started spontaneously cussing under his breath, which was a cloud by this point. Maybe you should tell them now. Parker whispered to Gabby. There are too many secrets right now. It would be nice to expose one of them. No. No way. She told me only in case of emergency I can use it. No use saying it if I cant do it. Gabby replied. Why is it always you? Parker asked with immense curiosity. You were the one with the magical necklace; you were the one whos um Friend died, and youre the one who can You know. The only one. At least now you are. What? London asked Parker, turning around because she heard the whole conversation. Nothing. Nothing. He responded mischievously. Well, it is something. Parker said. Um, its that Um Parker decided we should have code numbers! Gabby interrupted, so loudly that everyone heard that part.

Seriously? London asked, seriously disbelieving. Yeah. Parker said, playing along. Based on our class numbers. Like, Id be number 0015, Tiaralei would be 0012, so on, but the code number has to be four digits. Right? Um, sure, number 0015. Tiaralei said, actually agreeing with Parker for once. So everyone turned back around, but London was walking backwards and closer to the two. What were you guys really talking about? WHAT?! London loudly whispered a few minutes later. So youyou can

Seriously? London asked. Thats what you can do? You can MMMPH! London couldnt say the last word because there were two pairs of hands on her mouth so that she couldnt finish. Dont say it out loud, stupid! Parker sighed. Do you want the world to know? N Dont answer that. Its a rhetorical question. Well, then, prove that you can. London said, disbelieving. Gabby groaned. Fine. You could tell she was concentrating hard by the look on her face. She shut her eyes tight and then looked sad. She nodded and shook her head occasionally, and sometimes she mumbled things so quietly you didnt know what it was. Is she really talking to him? London whispered to Parker. Um, I think. I dont know. Then, as if on cue, Gabby opened her eyes. He, like, um, said that we should, like, keep on traveling. And he told me how it happened. It. Really? How

did it happen? London asked. I I like, cant tell you. She responded. Why not? Parker shot back, looking at the end of the mountain, which looked a few miles away. Because Ill tell everyone the secret of number 0004 if you dont tell me. London said. You wouldnt. Gabby said, folding her arms and scowling at London. I would. London said, smirking mischievously. Never. Gabby said, and it was obvious that she wouldnt give up. Okay, London said, giggling. Your funeral. Then she put her hands around her mouth in a circle and shouted to the whole class after taking a deep breath,

THROUGH HER MIND AND SHE WAS TALKING TO ZACHARY!!!

Everyone turned around, and Gabby gasped loudly. Really?! I can?! Parker rolled his eyes and slapped himself. Whatever. I dont believe you. Alexis said, turning back around. I do. Madi said, finally speaking up because she hadnt for the last several hours of trekking. This started a spark that everyone suddenly believed. Thank you, London. Parker said, as if he was trying to stick up for his friend. Everyone looked at Gabby and stopped whatever they were doing. They were expecting an answer. Um Like, my stomach hurts.
