• IFA guidelines – Too broad
• BAJR Grades – Need Enhancement
• MA system – Good but unenforced
• 4 different Sectors – 4 different scales
• The actual start of pay levels is TOO LOW
to start with
It is Not that bad
• 3 OPTIONS
• Option 1 – Stay where we are.
• Option 2 – Adopt a similar scheme of pay
scales to Museums Assoc. and increase
across the board in one year (April 2008)
• Option 3 – Create a new or similar
scheme to MA and set increases over 3
years (from 2008)
