What is a preposition?

A preposition shows the relationship that exists between certain words in a sentence.

Latin words which mean placed before. It is usually placed before a noun or pronoun.

Examples:
1. The

accident occurred under the bridge. 2. The accident occurred near the bridge. 3. The accident occurred above the bridge. 4. The accident occurred behind the bridge. 5. The accident occurred beneath the bridge.
