The runner was hot.

Drops of sweat raced down his forehead. After running for hours his shirt was sopping and blotchy. The sunlight beamed on his damp brow.

The tortoise was slow.

His reptilian legs crept forward as if in slow motion. His head swung back and forth as he trudged, swaying as slowly as giant balloon in a parade. It took the beast one hour to crawl ahead just two meters.

The old room was dusty.

A thin layer of dust covered the window ledge in the abandoned room . The stale air made me cough and sputter. A cobweb stretched across the corner of the doorway.

mouth wide open eyes popping out hand covering mouth jumping and stepping back gasping for air heart beating fast

shivering rubbing hands together hugging self blowing on hands hands turning blue seeing breath in the air eyes watering and tears freezing

Hot
red in face sweat on face and back fanning self with hand moving slowly panting for breath drenched hair line

Excited
mouth wide open heart pounding eyes wide open jumping up and down clapping or clasping hands eyes wide open huge smile across face

Shy
blushing looking down speaking softly arms crossed speaking softly standing away from others hiding behind things

Nervous
tapping hands or feet biting bottom lip butterflies in stomach stuttering lump in your throat playing with hair

Angry
red in face hands on hips jaw/hands clenched veins popping dark squinted eyes punching hand into first

Embarrassed
blushing/turn red hanging head low holding back tears rolling eyes stomach flips hiding face

droopy red eyes yawning trying to keep eyes open slouching in chair leaning hands on head rubbing eyes
