    Intro to Trauma for Guardians/Adult Caregivers of Teens

    Basic skills to better understand and cope with crime/abuse related trauma When: Every Tuesday 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Where: The Womens Center of Tarrant County, Inc. 1723 Hemphill Fort Worth, Texas 76110 What: This is an ongoing educational group that consists of 4 different sessions rotated on a weekly basis. We recommend you attend all 4 sessions for the most benefit.
    Who Can Attend: Any guardian of a teenager who is a current or past victim of trauma o Please note that children may not attend and child care is not available There is no charge for this group and it is not necessary to call ahead Goals: Receive information about trauma Learn about how trauma affects brain development Discuss effects of trauma on the lives of teen and guardian Learn self-care and coping techniques
