Mahima wanted to work in recycling but not an NGO , so she ended up starting a business in handmade paper.

Located one small unit in Kaalpi with three brothers who were interested to work with her. Named her company as Paperterie and there was revenue of 40 lakhs in the fourth year. Working with udai, she started making paper using age old techniques and the paper was wood free and made of cotton rag. Meeting with Vijendra and both decided to make paper out of elephant dung. Reviewed the process of making paper from elephant for 6-8 months and later Haathi Chaap became popular and revenues crossed 1 crore per annun. Started selling at shops which stock humorous and funky goods for children. Mahima wants to buy land on Delhi-Jaipur highway and start up a big unit with Vijendra making paper from elephant dung and wanted to promote the concept of paper tourism.

Mahima s other dream was to open small pilot projects in villages close

to wildlife sanctuaries. First project failed and decided to open a spa. Currently working in an organization which makes paper out of camel dung and is currently raising funds to set up her own unit in udaipur. She considers herself lucky as she works with people who share her values. 8% of Haathi Chaap profits go towards funding an elephant ambulance in m. Problems while working with small producers. Did not want to do the business in a cool blooded way and her fellow producers continue to work with her out of loyalty. All she wanted was to pay her rent and lead a regular middle class life with enough time for leisure. Her family accepted her unconventional choice of career and had to fight with personal issues. Mahima may believe in recycling paper but her ideas on life and business are all her own .

Must not be scared if your business idea is unique.
Not necessary for a person to be business minded. Must be very adaptable and patient.
