For the final project for Frankenstein you will take on the roll of a theatre designer: set, costume,

or publicity. Too, you will write a 2 page essay explaining why you chose specific elements. This paper should include at least 3 cited passages from the text that justify your choices. Costume: Create 4 costume designs (drawings, sketches, etc). Include details, colors and specifics for each character. The costumes should connect to the overall mood of the play and help create strong characterization. Be sure to explain in the paper WHY certain colors or textures were used. Set: Create a 3-D model of the set for one scene. Include at least 6 set pieces (chairs, tables, photos, money, etc). Include lots of detail: color, texture, shape. How can the set pieces help create the mood? Cite specific examples in the paper that justify the choices. Publicity: Create a poster and a playbill (program). The poster should include information on the play, title/authors, where, when and how much it is to attend the goal of the poster is to capture the attention of the public. The playbill should include a brief synopsis of the play. You must cast the play and have the cast list appear in the playbill. Finally, include 3 advertisements that would make sense to be in the program for a play like this. Each design is worth 25 points.
