Administration Senior Customs Declarer / Customs Declarer Logistics Executive Responsible for customs clearance of goods during import and export in order to ensure timely deliveries and shipments

Primary and Major Responsibilities: Prepare and submit all required documents for customs clearance of import and export Perform import and export declaration and clearance Take full control of customs declaration, approval and invoicing to ensure prompt ETA Verify, monitor and administer tax-exempt materials import customs handbook Track all tax-exempt equipment import under customs supervision for 5 years Work closely with Finance Section on materials import and finished goods export to ensure correct VAT returns to the company Set up proper inventory systems and procedures for domestic sales Understand all shipment terms and delivery requirements from customers Validate all freight expenses from forwarders and shippers Liaise with freight forwarders to monitor and track all shipments or deliveries Work closely and maintain good relationship with Customs to clear shipments promptly Keep good records and provide statistics of customs clearance cycle-time Maintain close contacts with all customs-related departments regularly, including the Quarantine and Inspection Bureau, to ensure prompt and efficient customs clearance Keep current and updated on new customs regulations including duties, VAT and others Recommend the most cost-effective and efficient shipment procedures and methods

Qualifications: Minimum college education. Major in Foreign Trade will be an added-advantage Must possess import-export customs clearance certification At least 3 years of work experience in relevant import and export customs clearance

Pre-requisite Skills: Be familiar with foreign trade and customs clearance procedures including customs clearance and verification certificates Good communication skills in both oral and written English Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, forwarders and government officials including customs officers Versatile, flexible and be able to read, perceive and make decisions spontaneously
