Dear Parents/Carers Following on from last years communication sessions where we discussed our plans for converting to an Academy, the staff and Governors have been working hard with our appointed solicitors and accountants to prepare all the necessary documentation for our final submission on 25th of March. This will be subject to final approval from all the Governors but so far there have been no issues that would make us reconsider our decision. Unless there are any major issues in the next few weeks, we will be converting to an Academy on the 1st of April 2013. This is an exciting time for our school as we will be able to tailor the curriculum to our pupils needs. To start with, that is probably the only change that you will notice as we are not going to change our school name or uniform. There may be some changes in the future as all of our policies will need to be reviewed to bring them into line with the requirements of the Department for Education. I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this conversion and hope that you will all join me in wishing Mr Hookway and all the staff our congratulations and best wishes for the future as an Academy.
