ASSIGNMENT

Our project is all about automatic PCB driller using PLC. This project includes on how the PCB Driller works automatically and how efficient it is used for the project makers or hobbyist and also how fast it will finish the job to pierce the PCB. This automatic driller is made up of a driller, driller holder, stepper motor, PCB holder sensor and PLC. The stepper motors is attached to the PCB holder so that the holder can move as the sensor, LDR, will find a black dot on a PCB that will trigger another stepper motor to push down the driller so it will drill the PCB. The movement of the holder will be like a zigzag so that the LDR will scan the PCB. When it reaches the end, it will be reset to the start so that you will place another PCB and drill it again. One of its impacts is the user will be able to do other things while waiting for driller to finish its job. One last advantage, which I previously touched upon, of automation that will undeniably be observed through this project, is the reduction of work in process. On the macro-level of automation, the work in process is when the product is either being processed or between processing operations. Automation tends to reduce work in process by reducing the time the product spends in doing a circuit. When considering the benefits of an automated piece of machinery then disadvantages are quite minuscule when compared to the benefits that will transpire. The only real draw back to an automatic driller press is the cost. That is where the proposed project comes into play. Using the present driller, and acquiring the different positioning and assembly parts and software, an automatic driller can be assembled at a much lower cost. In turn, the demands of todays society are being met by utilizing the ultimate option of producing the same result at a fraction of the cost. The proponents recommend to the people/engineers who wanted to make this prototype effective and accurate to make holes in the PCB is to focus on its movements especially on the direction of the PCB Driller because they just focus on one movement and only the table of the prototype was able to move so they can adjust the movement or they can interchange the movements.
